Strong units imperative for a strong federation: Raza Rabbani
KARACHI: Federal Minister for Inter- Provincial Coordination, Senator Mian Raza Rabbani on Sunday said Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) believes that stronger units are necessary for a strong federation.
He was addressing a reception hosted in his honour by Ex-Chairman, Pakistan Flour Mills Association, senior member, Supreme Council, Anjuman-e-Araian Pakistan Sindh at Defence Hall, Creek Club, DHA, here.
He said a peaceful environment is the right of every citizen and maintenance of tranquility is the utmost priority of the government.
Senator Mian Raza Rabbani said that first we have to restore the confidence of the local investors so that they can invest in different programmes, which, he said will encourage the foreign investors.
Mian Raza Rabbani, who is also leader of the House in Senate said that we will not tolerate external interference in our country.
He said that we have made it clear to the United States of America that violation of the airspace of Pakistan will not be tolerated.
He said we hope that the new American government will review the policies of the outgoing government of President George W. Bush.
Senator Rabbani called upon India not to make allegations without proofs and if it has some proofs, provide these to Pakistan. Pakistan is ready to initiate joint investigation into Mumbai violence, he added.
He said the Prime Minister has already responded to the proofs India handed down to Pakistan about Mumbai violence.
