PPP NWFP congrats Sherry on receiving title of Democracy Hero
PESHAWAR: Provincial President of PPP and Senior Minister Rahimdad Khan has congratulated Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sherry Rehman over getting the coveted title of “Democracy’s Hero” by the International Republic Institute (IRI).
Talking to APP here he said, she was awarded the title by IRI over her decades old struggle for the cause of democracy in Pakistan. This award is an achievement and an honor not only for Sherry Rehman but also for all other women who are playing an active part in strengthening the democratic process in the country.
Rahimdad said that PPP has a long history of political struggle and confronted every challenging task posed by the dictators against democracy in a brave manner and emerged victorious.
He said that PPP stood for democracy and its every worker was well aware of his responsibility of how to protect and safeguard it.
